Winchester Repeating Arms is a trade name used by the licensee of the Olin Corporation that manufactures and distributes Winchester firearms.  Olin Corporation is the owner of the trademark "Winchester".  U.S. Repeating Arms Company was the predecessor licensee and a manufacturer of Winchester firearms.  U.S. Repeating Arms Company of New Haven, Connecticut closed its manufacturing facility in 2006.  Both Winchester Repeating Arms and U.S. Repeating Arms Company belong to the same family of companies.
