Formed by Stephen F. Austin, “The Father of Texas,” in 1823 to provide protection to the families living in his colony; the Texas Rangers are America’s oldest state law enforcement agency. Over the course of 200 years, many of the actions carried out by this storied group of stalwart officers have become legend and forever immortalized in history. Winchester rifles, the Model 1895 among them, were among the tools utilized by generations of Texas Rangers in the course of their duties.
This Winchester® Model 1895 Texas Rangers 200th Anniversary Commemorative Custom Grade Rifle celebrates the individual spirit and tenacity these famous officers are known for and their vital role in taming the great state of Texas and the American West. This rifle features a beautiful nickel receiver, magazine and lever. Extensive engraving accented with gold enhancements commemorates this milestone. The barrel is richly blued and the perfect contrast to the receiver. Grade V/VI walnut stocks have a luxurious satin finish and are crisply engraved. A Texas Ranger star medallion is set into the buttstock.
